Balcony on Greenmarket Square - Design 1-Bed

Beautiful and one to remember. Positive: I like how the property was centrally located. I arrived past 6pm and was able to grab food just downstairs. The security guards were very helpful and kind and so was the host. I truly loved this place so much that the next time I’m in Cape Town I’m definitely booking them again. The inside was also very clean, spacious and beautiful.

Perfect for a remote work stay Positive: As a South African working remotely for two days, this apartment was exactly what I needed. Fast wifi, the space was spotless, and it was quiet enough to work comfortably while still being right in the heart of the city. The views over Greenmarket Square were incredible, especially in the morning. Everything I needed was within walking distance, and the apartment was modern, secure, and very well equipped. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for work or a weekend in Cape Town. Highly recommended!

loved it Positive: This apartment has real charm. It’s a tastefully decorated one bedroom in an Art Deco-inspired building. Everything felt clean, fresh, and new. The balcony is a proper bonus- relax and watch the city come alive. The building is on Green Market Square near a bunch of cool inner city streets with a million options for coffee and food all around. South Africa is very car focused but you can get around staying here and getting around on foot. I did have a car and the host kindly helped me figure out where best to park in the neighborhood. Very helpful. If you’re heading to Cape Town and want to be in the thick of it while still having a stunning view to come home to, book this without hesitation. I’ve already recommended it to a couple of fellow travelers. 10/10 – I’d return in a heartbeat.

Positive: As a solo female traveler, I had a really lovely stay at Market House. The apartment is super stylish, clean, and is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable visit. Felt like a home away from home. The location is definitely one of its biggest strengths—being right on Greenmarket Square made it so easy to explore Cape Town on foot, and there were plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby. The views of the historic buildings on the square and with Lion's Head on the background were beautiful, especially in the morning and at sunset from the balcony. I also appreciated the easy check-in and how responsive the host was when I had questions. And what a plus that there is a guard at the reception of the building, making you feel safe. I'd stay here again when I'm in town and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located apartment in Cape Town. Negative: The only reason I'm giving it a 9 instead of a 10 is that the city center can be a little lively at night and in the morning the market comes to life. Luckily, the bedroom is at the back of the apartment and not on the square side, so I slept great. And the convenience of the location more than makes up for it.
